Tears Of The Tree

Tears Of The Tree

Fire burns in the land

Flames shouting out

Beating a path

A trail of havoc

And wrath

A great flame

Rises up, lashes out

A searing flash

Across my back

Pain and agony

Where to run

Where to hide

Trail of fire

After me

Burning flesh

Searing pain

I will die

I will die

Hiding under

A great willow

Weeping branches

Surround me

Tears of the tree

Envelope me

My tears mingle

With the tree

Flame is searching

Flame all around

Tears of the tree

Shelter me

Holding me close

Willow so mighty

Willow so strong

What makes you cry?

What makes you cry?

I cry for you

I cry for all

I will shelter

From the storm

I will hold

And keep you warm

I am compassion

My tears are for you

Stay with me

If you believe

I will protect thee

Nothing will

Harm you

Have faith
Have hope

You may rest

I will soothe

Do not cry

Do not cry

Leaving on the

Great tree

Feeling the strength

Shielding me

Weeping branches

Protecting from harm

No more pain

No cause for alarm

I am so tired

The flame is

Burning low

Small fire

It will die

It will die

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
