Misty Dawn

Misty dawn on a sandy beach
Damp air kissing my cheeks
He took my hand, knelt down on his knee
It was here, he asked, to marry me
Looking down, with teary eyes
Breathless, as he took me by surprise
With the wind blowing in my hair
He offered his life to share
He spoke of his love deep from the heart
Said with such beauty, a work of art
Misty dawn on a sandy beach
It was here, he delivered that speech
With his hand still in mine
Forever etched in our lifetime
His heart rose to soar with mine
When finally, he heard my reply
With a catch in my breath
Our eyes meeting as I said yes
So here we stand another day
Words of love, we again say
Misty dawn on a sandy beach
A rose I hold, the shade peach
Today is another special one
Happy I am, it is a misty dawn
Gone are the lonely days of past
Today we stand to handfast
Sky cloudy with mist in the air
Dewdrop wind dampens my hair
Forever this day to change my life
A ring and a kiss, I am now his wife

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
