Long, Long Ago

Long, long ago,
we gathered
to celebrate
the mystery
all around
long ago,
forgotten time,
again remembered.
 dancers move
beneath  Full Moon’s
clear light
Long, long ago
and reverenced our fellow creatures.
 sing in praise
Ancient Mother
Goddess and Her mysteries.
powerful and healing,
Her words are few.
They are compelling
Spoken long ago
Can still be heard today
In the breeze, in a bird’s call
In the ocean, in the leaves that fall
Long long ago
Just like today
It is up to us to hear
It is up to us to pray

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
