Moonsong

The song of the moon

Softly it sings

Gently it draws down

Pulling heartstrings

Blessings pouring all around

For us each to grab

Love freely given

For all life to have

Blessings for each being

Plant and animal

Keeping earth balance

Keeping her beautiful

What a treasure she is

And all she provides

A magnificent world

Here, before our eyes

The moon sings every night

Take the time to listen

She sings with the crickets

And moonbeams that glisten

Look at her beauty

As with new eyes

Give thanks for all we have

While watching the moon rise

Eyelids grow droopy

Slowly getting late at night

Bedtime prayers are said

Blow a kiss, say goodnight

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
