Hand On My Heart

Somewhere deep within

An unseen hand

Has a grasp on my heart

A grip to and fro

Has done so since birth

I have not always been thankful

I have not always given thought

What he does

How tiring never to stop

Or take a break

He lives in a different time

Perhaps it stands still

That would explain

No need for a tummy refill

How you hands must tire

Working round the clock

The circle of life

Of which I am a ring

A circle within a circle

Making it strong

Hoping for strong, healthy, long lives

The hand continues in a rhythm of love

The only expectation for me to walk in love

To love Him and all of creation

To love each other

To lend a helping hand

In our own ways

We are the hand

That has a rhythmatic squeeze

It shows when we help a stranger

Or someone in need

To show love for one another

To honor Thy Name

My hand is a butterfly

Searching someone who needs a little love

Landing on a shoulder, or a cheek

To let you know

I am here

Together we walk

Circled within

A ring of love

Delicate as Butterfly wings

Softly, we create

a brand new ring

Of love, of hope, and

of peace

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
