The Gods Will Tell

I am watching him as he watches me

I wonder who it will be

The one who turns tail to run,  to flee?

I know it shan’t be me, my soul is strong from generations of knowledge

I think twill be him as he is puny compared to me

Although I do not like him and his thunder stick

I do not like the noise

He can kill many buffalo extremely quick!

Our numbers walk proudly with our heads held up high

We were majestic, even Kings among lands

Then man moves his ideas not thought through

They would gather and talk in a strange tongue

Discussing how next to rid us of this great land

Proclaiming ownership, though we were here since birth

The elders will gather and chant to the Gods

The answers will be found among their collective wisdom

Time and patience we need on our side while the Gods

Come up with the proper solution

To care of us and our children

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
