Gypsy Girl

Gypsy girl made up so pretty

Soon she is to be married

She’ll wear magical threads

Sewn by her mother

It could be stitched by none other

Great love is an ingredient in every stitch

And it must be sewn by the mother witch

She gazes into her crystal ball

Seeing the dress the most brilliant

One could ever recall

Magical threads meant to set her daughter free

Into the next phase of life

Casting a future of happiness and jubilee

For my daughter deserves only the best

Sewing in rose petals to fulfill the quest

Scented sachet within this dress

To assure her dreams will bloom

For she is a young gypsy

Who deserves only the best

Mote it be

Jumping the broom

Her final test

A fine heritage in her past

Surrounded by a present flowing with love

And a future as magical as her dress

Sewn within the wings of a turtledove

To ensure true love for one another

With the hand stitching made small and tight

For when death’s shadow graces their doorstep

A turtledove feather for each heart shall grow

Together they will take flight

When Death says it is time to go

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
