Mirror To My Soul

I invite you to enter

Into the mirror of my soul

I want you to know me

I want my story told

A constant wind gusts in the air

Filled with wonder, ideas

A lifetime to share

Invigorating and expansive

My view of the world

My arms are open

I invite you to explore

I want you to know me

From the inside out

A need to make

My mark in your heart

I do not want to be

Stuck inside a cage

With a towel tossed over it

Blocking my rage

At being shut up

Without image in my world

Without making myself known

Unable to soar

I want variety

All of life’s spices

Homemade pies

I want slices

I want to taste the world

With all of my senses

I invite you to enter

Into the mirror of my soul

I want you to know me

I want my story told

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
