Star Maiden

I have heard of a garden

Growing in another land

The garden is tended by

Dainty little hands

A sweet little sprite

Her eyes are like apples

Her spirit is sweet

She’s a country delight

Her crops are wondrous

A weed would not are tread

For even it would not choose

To choke this garden dead

She waters with moon-dust

During her prayers each night

Her garden must flourish

Forever to shine bright

Her bones grow tired

But the work fulfilling

Her garden magnificent

Grown with deep feeling

Her garden is enjoyed

Not only by her land

But  lands everywhere

Too great to comprehend

Massive and infinite

So mighty is the universe

Not a man can truly understand

Its inspiring brilliance

This little sprite

This bed has tended

When infinity began

And will until its end

She is the Star Maiden

She cleans fallen stars

She will replant with  seed

Known as the dust of the stars

She fights pollution

When it enters her zone

Though technically

This is the no-fly zone

It is a labor of love

Each star burst

The moment of

The star’s birth

Knowingly she smiles

At the newest addition

A wondrous species

Keeping with tradition

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
