Beauty Fades

She needs to fly. To be on her own. Her heart is breaking under the strain

She knows there is a world that she is not a part of. She is in a world of her own.

Full of sickness, loneliness, and hopelessness.

Her own personal Hell.

She grows weaker every day. Her beauty fades into dust.  One day she will awaken to find someone has swept her up and tossed her away.  Nothing left. Not even a memory.

The perfect murder. The victim will never be found because she never was.

She is small and fragile.  A tiny little sparrow who has never left the nest. Who has never been free.  She feels lonely and insignificant.  She is trapped in a cage too small.

When she tries to spread her wings, they tangle in the cold bars of her cage.  She yearns to fly.

She is afraid life is passing her by.  She is inside looking out.

How she longs to feel the cool wind beneath her wings.  How she longs to be free to soar with the eagles.

Nae's Nest

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.

    She is not alone
    Her life is not over
    She can fly
Her wings are shrouded only by doubt
She will be a part of the life she dreams
Her hopes are trying to reach her
She must have faith that hope will break thru
Her cage is fragile and can be shattered
She simply has to be herself
    Her heart is wanted
She is not so small to not be seen
Her will is what carries her
She cannot be swayed by the beast
    Her moment is here, now
She knows it yet decides to yield to the beasts whispers
Her soul is alive and wants to be let go
    She will be free
    Her chance is now
She must submit to her heart

So sand, but so beautifully expressed. Pure poetry.
