Playing Doctor

Rain rain
Go away
Child’s play
Gone astray

Playing Doctor
In real life
Praying God
Will guard my life

Spinning the bottle
It stops on you
The kiss of death
Will ensue

Hiding behind
An old oak tree
Praying the demon
Will not find me

It all comes down
To the luck of the draw
Never knowing whose
Name will be called

Praying the leader
You choose to follow
Leads you to land
That is hallowed

Going on a journey
I do not want to take
Unable to stop
What is my fate

There is no reason
No one to blame
We are all created
One and the same

Rock me in a cradle
Of heavenly arms
Protect me from monsters
And all other harms

Cross my heart
Hope to live
God I trust
His love to give

The day will come
When I can soar
One the wings of a bird
To Heaven’s door

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.

I remember the good old days upon stumbling here 🙂 I felt like it’s Chun Lee of Street fighter or Shiaxo of Tekken .

the poem is hauntingly nice. it sort of reminds me of alice in wonderland.
