Three Little Monkeys

Three Little Monkeys

Daddy hid his candy
Thinking it would be safe
Three nosy children
More than happy to raid

Daddy hid his stash
Underneath his skivvies
Thinking he was clever
Outsmarting his kiddies

Three little monkeys
Raiding the drawer
The hidden place
For daddy to store
Yummy candies
And chocolates too
Even an occasional
Cookie or two

One little monkey
Found the stash
Kept it a secret
His! At last!

If he only knew
Monkey number two
Had already taken
A sweet morsel or two

Sneaky monkey three
Slipped right in
More than happy
To eat chocolate sin

Poor old Daddy
Checking his stash
Only to find
Empty boxes to trash

Three little monkeys
Not taking the blame
All innocent
Having no shame

Three little monkeys
Raiding the drawer
The hidden place
For daddy to store
Yummy candies
And chocolates too
Even an occasional
Cookie or two

I find myself "Dancing With Cancer", problem is...I can't dance. I stumble, bumble, and get pulled along. To keep my sanity, (humor me), I write short stories, a journal, musings and poetry....just about anything goes.
